Children's Workforce Strategy Update- Spring 2007

This consultation looks back on what has been
achieved since the government published its response
to the children's workforce strategy in February
2006. The Department for Education and Skills is
continuing to develop the priority areas and seeks to
reinforce further the strategy and develop additional
areas in the Children’s Workforce Strategy Refresh
document, which will be published in autumn 2007.

DfES Research: Workforce Training in England 2006

This survey collected information
from employers about the volume, type and
pattern of training they provide; motivations
for training; and use of, and satisfaction with,
external training providers. The survey
consisted of 4,000 telephone interviews with
establishments of all sizes and sectors in
England. Some comparisons of findings can be
made with the larger scale National Employer
Skills Survey (NESS05).
